Outline	PDGF was found as a growth factor for mesenchymal cells contained in the platelet alpha granule. It is now known to be produced by various cells other than platelets and to have a wide range of biological activities. PDGF-AA is unlike other dimmers AB and BB and does not have migration action; conversely it is known to inhibit the migration action of AB and BB. Its clinical application has been studied because it has in vitro action to promote the growth of vascular smooth muscle, fibroblasts and capillary endothelial cells and is involved in arteriosclerosis and vascularization in solid cancer. Endotoxin value: max. 0.1 ng/microgramin vitro effective concentration range: 0.2 to 10.0 ng/mL
