Outline	This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. Betacellulin is a member of the EGF family of growth factors, and isolated from β TC-3, murine insulinoma cell line. It is produced as a transmembrane protein, and proteolytically cleaved into an 80 amino acid mature protein. Betacellulin induces differentiation of AR42J cells (rat pancreatic cancer cell line) into insulin-producing cells, and also promotes proliferation of fibroblasts, vascular smooth muscle cells, retinal pigment epithelium cells.
