This is a cytokine in which biological raw materials are not used during the culture and purification processes.
Interleukin 3 (IL-3) stimulates multipotent stem cells and differentiated hematopoietic progenitor cells, promoting their differentiation and proliferation into basophils, mast cells, type-1 and -2 dendritic cells, eosinophils and monocytes. IL-3 also induces histamine release from mature mast cells during proliferation and activation. IL-3 is produced primarily by activated T cells but can also be synthesized by mast cells, thymic epithelial cells and neurons. With hematopoiesis of IL-3, this protein is anticipated to be an effective treatment, in combination with chemotherapy, for myelodysplastic syndrome and aplastic anemia.
