Overview / Applications

Outline This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human.
This is one of CC chemokine families also called CCL2.
In vitro, in monocytes, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) promotes chemotaxis and upregulates the production and release of active oxygen species and lysosomal enzymes. It also actively suppresses the growth of certain tumors. In basophil granulocytes, MCP-1 induces degranulation and stimulates the production and release of histamine and leukotriene C4. It also promotes migration of bone marrow-derived mast cells. MCP-1 has also been reported to possess the ability to maintain pluripotency in mouse-derived embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells.
MCP-1 enhances the chemotaxis of monocytes, increases the production/release of active oxygen and lysosomal enzyme, and inhibits the proliferation of some tumors in vitro. It also degranulates basophils, produces/releases histamine and leukotriene C4, and enhances the migration of mast cells derived from bone marrow.Endotoxin value: max. 0.1 ng/microgram
