Overview / Applications

Outline This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human.

The herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM) belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family. HVEM is expressed in various cells or tissues such as T cells, B cells and monocytes, and activate T cells and lymphocyte. It is conventionally known that TNF-β and LIGHT are ligands of HVEM. However, it has also been found that HVEM binds directly to glycoprotein D, an envelope glycoprotein found on the surface of the herpes simplex virus. This product is an amino acid fusion protein containing an N-terminal domain corresponding to the extracellular region of HVEM and a C-terminal domain corresponding to residues 102 to 330 of human IgG1.
