Tumor necrosis factor α is induced by endotoxin and it induces necrosis and apoptosis of some tumor cells. It also induces production of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and adhesive factors such as VCAM-1. In the body, it has been known to occur as a membrane-type protein forming trimers, act on TNFR2 in the membrane-bound form and act on TNFR1 by the breakage of the extracellular part. This product does not use animal factors in the culture of expressing cells or purification.
