Outline	While chemokines belonging to the "C-C" subfamily have been reported as potent chemotactic factors to monocytes in general, a group that shows chemotactic behavior to lymphocytes has recently been identified. In spite of being CC chemokines, they act specifically on lymphocytes not showing any activity on monocytes. These chemokines are called "immune chemokines" as opposed to general "inflammatory chemokines". MDC is expressed primarily in the thymus, and actT cells are the targets of MDC. Its receptor is CCR4.
