This inactivates porcupine (Porcn), a membrane-bound O-acyl transferase (MBOAT), and suppresses palmitylation of the Wnt protein. These actions lead to inhibition of Wnt-dependent Lrp6 receptor phosphorylation and inhibition of Dvl2 and β-catenin accumulation. |
