Application

Overview / Applications

Outline This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. It is a recombinant lectin rBC2LCN that can specifically recognize undifferentiated cells, and has already been labeled with FITC. rBC2LCN is a recombinant lectin expressed in E. coli that corresponds to the N-terminal domain of BC2L-C derived from Burkholderia cenocepacia.
BC2LCN specifically recognizes sugar chains present on the cell surface of human ES and iPS cells. This product has been labeled with FITC, and can be directly used for analysis of living undifferentiated cells by adding to the culture medium containing human ES and iPS cells at an appropriate concentration. In addition, no cytotoxicity can be detected when cells are continuously cultured for several days in the presence of this product.
This product can be used for both cell staining and flow cytometry (Excitation = 495 nm, Emission = 520 nm).
