Outline The 6xHistidine polypeptide has been used as the tag for detection and/or purification of recombinant protein.
Monoclonal anti 6xHistidine (6xHis) antibody was produced by hybridoma clone 9F2. This clone was established by fusing mouse myeloma cells and spleen cells of mice immunized with synthetic 6xHis peptide that was coupled with keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH). This antibody was purified from mouse ascites. This antibody was conjugated with horseradish peroxidase.
Preparation This antibody was purified from mouse ascites by using Protein A affinity chromatography.
