Product Overview
RNA Extractor™ Kit for Purified EV is designed for extraction of total RNA, including microRNA, from extracellular vesicles (EV), including exosomes, using spin columns. High concentrations of RNA can be recovered with a small amount of elution buffer (20 μL), making it suitable for analyses such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) etc.
[Notice] This product is identical to the microRNA Extractor™ Kit for purified EVs. The product name was changed in October 2025.

miRNA Analysis of EVs by NGS
RNA was extracted from the EVs isolated using MagCapture™ Exosome Isolation Kit PS Ver.2 and analyzed by NGS.
[Result] More miRNAs were detected with Fujifilm Wako’s product compared to the conventional products of other companies.
Comparison of RNA yield with conventional products
EVs were isolated from umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells using the MagCapture™ Exosome Isolation Kit PS Ver.2, and RNA was extracted using three different kits. RNA was measured by QuantiFluor® RNA System (Promega Corporation) and RT-qPCR.

[Result] Fujifilm Wako’s product showed higher RNA extraction efficiency than the conventional products of other companies.
Extraction of Circular RNA
Extracellular vesicles (EVs), such as exosomes, were purified from human serum and COLO201 cells, and RNA was extracted using both this product and an RNA extraction reagent from another manufacturer. Circular RNA present in each RNA solution was then detected by RT-qPCR using primers and probes designed for circular RNA detection.

Circular RNA was successfully extracted using this product, including circ-284, which was not detected when RNA was extracted with the other manufacturer's product.

This kit is optimized to extract RNA from purified EVs. There is no need for phenol and chloroform to use this kit.
