microRNA Extractor® Kit for Purified EV
Extracellular vesicles (EV), including exosomes, contain microRNAs (miRNA) derived from secretory cells, and their role has attracted attention. In general, miRNA in EV are comprehensively analyzed by next-generation sequencing and microarray. The process of extracting miRNA from EV is an important step that is directly linked to the analysis results. Fujifilm Wako has developed the microRNA Extractor® Kit for Purified EV, an RNA extraction kit optimized for purified EV.
microRNA Extractor® Kit for Purified EV is designed for extraction of total RNA, including microRNA, from extracellular vesicles (EV), including exosomes, using spin columns. High concentrations of RNA can be recovered with a small amount of elution buffer (20 μL), making it suitable for analyses such as next-generation sequencing (NGS) etc.
- High concentrations of RNA can be recovered with a small amount of elution buffer (20 μL)
- Optimized for RNA extraction from purified exosomes
- Higher yield of RNA compared to conventional products of other companies
|Sample||Exosomal solutions purified from cell culture supernatants, serum, and plasma
[Note] It has not been confirmed whether it can be directly extracted from cell culture supernatant, serum or plasma.
|Application||RT-qPCR, Microarray, NGS, etc.|
[Protocol] microRNA Extractor® Kit for Purified EV (Youtube, 5:02)
Analysis of Exosomal miRNA by NGS
RNA was extracted from the exosomes isolated using MagCapture™ Exosome Isolation Kit PS Ver.2 and analyzed by NGS.
[Rusult] More miRNAs were detected with Fujifilm Wako’s product compared to the conventional products of other companies.
Comparison of RNA yield with conventional products
Exosomes were isolated from umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells using the MagCapture™ Exosome Isolation Kit PS Ver.2, and RNA was extracted using three different kits. RNA was measured by QuantiFluor® RNA System (Promega Corporation) and RT-qPCR.
QuantiFluor® is a trademark or registered trademark of Promega Corporation.
[Result] Fujifilm Wako’s product showed higher RNA extraction efficiency than the conventional products of other companies.
