| Outline | A plant growth regulator (one of the Cytokinins). This product is a kind of plant hormone and promotes plant cell division remarkably when an appropriate ratio of auxin and the product are given but induces the formation of buds and leaves when used alone. In addition to the cell division promotion, it shows the promotion of leaf growth and lateral bud extension, aging and root growth inhibition, accumulation of amino acids, etc., chlorophyll formation promotion and degradation inhibition, dormancy breaking, and stoma opening. The product is used as a plant growth hormone that induces the nuclear division of plant cells. It is used for root crops to prolong the storage life, prevent water loss, and maintain green color by spraying before harvest or soaking after harvest. Its effect is attributed to the inhibition of chlorophyll degradation and proteolysis. |
