Application

Overview / Applications

Outline The product is a derivative of beta-galactosidase and induces the enzyme synthesis of lactose operon of E. coli. WhenlacZ-deficient E. coli is used as a host to perform genetic transformation with pUC plasmid vector DNA or genetic transduction of M13 phage vector DNA, recombinants can be easily selected by the presence or absence of blue color development through the alpha-IPTG complementation of beta-galactosidase if IPTG and X-Gal are added to the medium. As a reagent of the molecular biology grade, it has been confirmed for DNase and RNase activities.

Property

Appearance White, crystalline powder - powder or mass
Specific Rotation -30 - -32 degrees (20 degrees C/D) (C=1,H2O)
Purity DNase.RNase: no detection
