This is a reference standard for analysis of mycotoxins.
Mycotoxin is a general name given to fungal toxins (toxic substances) produced as secondary metabolic products of fungi and injuring human or cattle health. Several hundreds of mycotoxins have been known generally.This product is a mycotoxin and a variety of fungi producing this have been reported including Aspergillus versicolor and A. nidulans. Its pollution has been reported in wheat and rice. It is known to induce sister chromatid exchange in mouse myelocytes and it is also carcinogenic.
