| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. In many signal transduction cascades, phosphorylation (protein kinase) and dephosphorylation (protein phosphatase) of proteins are involved in cascade regulation. This product is an inhibitor that specifically inhibits protein phosphatase VHR (Vaccinia H1-related Phosphatase), a dual specific protein phosphatase targeting phosphorylated serine, threonine, and tyrosine. VHR has been confirmed to act on phosphorylated ERK and JNK in the MAP kinase cascade. Furthermore, its overexpression has been reported in cervical cancer and prostate cancer; for this reason, it has been attracting attention as a drug target.
