Luminol generates blue-white luminescence in an alkaline solution when reacting with hydrogen peroxide generated by catalytic activities of peroxidase-like substances.
It is used in criminal forensics for the purpose of detecting blood at a crime scene. The procedure has some limitations in mobility because the reagents are complex to make and unstable after preparation. This product allows anyone to easily prepare luminol solution by simply dissolving one packet in water.
