| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human.FK506 is a potent immunosuppressant, neuroprotective agent and nerve regenerator. In vitro, FK506 has been shown to block T cell proliferation. Although it normally forms a complex with FK506 binding protein 12 (FKBP12), the molecule can also bind with calcineurin to downregulate the expression of various cytokines such as IL-2 and interferon, which subsequently leads to decreased extracellular T cell differentiation/proliferation. |
