Monomers

A monomer is the basic unit that constitutes a polymer, and reacts with active species generated by an initiator for polymerization. Polymerization, in which a particular type of monomers are used, is classified as homopolymerization; meanwhile, polymerization, in which two or more types of monomers are used, is classified as copolymerization. Substituents bound to monomers affect the properties of the polymer; howeover, these substituents can be converted after polymerization.
FUJIFILM Wako deal with various types of styrene monomers that can be used for many types of polymerization such as homopolymerization and copolymerization.
