Extracellular Matrix / Cell Coating
Stem cells, including induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells), are a promising cell tool that is expected to be used in the field of regenerative medicine. In order to use these cells for medical purposes, they need to be proliferated to obtain the necessary number of cells. Generally, a scaffold, such as proteins, is indispensable for cell proliferation, and culturing on an insufficient scaffold leads to a lower cell viability and changes in cell characteristics.
FUJIFILM Wako has a variety of scaffolding materials optimal for application to the field of regenerative medicine.
