Reagents for Analysis of Household Goods

Since tableware, cookware, and packaging materials come in direct contact with foods, this poses the risk that the chemical substances, etc. contained in these items may leach into food. It is thus necessary to ensure that such substances do not contaminate foods. In Japan, Article 16 of the Food Sanitation Act prohibits the marketing of apparatuses, containers, and packaging containing hazardous substances that may harm human health. Article 18 of the Act sets forth standards for apparatuses, containers, and packaging. For toys, which may be licked or swallowed by infants, standards have been established to prevent ingestion of hazardous substance that could compromise health.

Fujifilm Wako supplies test reagents compliant with legally specified test methods for the analysis of containers and toys.
