| Outline | Typical anionic surfactant. The product is used as base resin for neutral laundry detergents, dish detergents, shampoos, etc. In addition, it is widely used as an emulsifier for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and also for industrial use, surfactant for emulsion polymerization and scouring and cleaning agent of fiber. Krafft point: 9 degrees C. Critical micelle concentration: approx. 0.008 mol/L (25 degrees C). C10+C12+C14: min. 98.0 %(GC) Surfactants are amphiphilic substances having a hydrophilic atomic group and a hydrophobic atomic group within their molecules.They are classified into ionic surfactants that dissociate to ions when dissolved in water and nonionic surfactants that do not dissociate to ions. In this case, ionic surfactants are classified into anionic, cationic and ampholytic surfactants depending on the type of electric charge when dissociated.The product is an anion surfactant, and is generally used as an emulsifier, dispersant, solubilizer, and detergent. It also has high affinity to proteins and alters proteins. Through this alteration, most proteins present on the membrane are solubilized. Products of alteration are appropriate as analytes for the separation analysis.This is also used for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. |
