Overview

This product is an immobilized catalyst in which rhodium (Rh) and platinum (Pt) are supported on dimethylpolysilane (DMPSi) and alumina (Al2O3). The rhodium and platinum nanoparticles show high activity and act as a strong hydrogenation catalyst for the aromatic ring. Normally, hydrogenation of aromatic rings requires high pressure conditions, but this catalyst proceeds at atmospheric pressure (1 atm, H2).

  • Hydrogenation of aromatic rings under mild conditions (50-80°C, 1 atm)
  • Maintains catalytic activity in continuous operation for 50 days or more with the continuous-flow method
  • The continuous-flow method has maximum 27 times TOF (turnover frequency) than the batch method.
