| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. This is one of CC chemokine families also called CCL3. MIP-1α (CCL3) and MIP-1β (CCL4) are CC chemokines of resembling structures and functions. MIP-1α/β shows common host responses including regulation of traffics and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes and NK cells upon invasion of endogenous organisms such as bacteria, virus and parasite. MIP-1α/β shows resembling responses but MIP-1α selectively induces CD8+ lymphocytes whereas MIP-1β selectively induces CD4+ lymphocytes. |
