The Pd catalyst using dihydroxy p-terphenylphosphine (DHTP) with two hydroxy groups showed high reactivity and high ortho selectivity at cross-coupling reactions. For example, presented this ligand shows useful catalyst for Kumada-Tamao-Corriu coupling reaction and Sonogashira coupling reaction. When DHTP was employed, high ortho-position selective coupling reactions of hydroxy or amino group can be proceeded preferentially.
