Product Description

Sample for Calibration

Of the 4 types of phthalate esters (DEHP, DBP, BBP, DIBP) that are regulated by the RoHS 2 Directive, DEHP contains DOTP and DnOTP as an impurity. DOTP and DnOTP are not controlled substances. Therefore, it is necessary to correct the amount of DOTP and DnOTP at the time of measurement.
DOTP and DnOTP produce fragment ions. Corrected measurement results are obtained by using the sample for calibration and subtracting the amount of DOTP and DnOTP from the assay results of DEHP.

Method of Use

  1. Cut the sample.
  2. Set the cut sample in the center of the sample pan and weigh it.*
    *Adjust the weight of the sample to 0.16-0.24 mg (excluding the weight of the sample pan).
  3. Place it in the sample tray of the equipment.

Four phthalate esters widely used as plasticizers since July 2019 have been added to the RoHS Directive (RoHS2) regulation subject.
Depending on the manufacturing method of this product, part of the product may be discolored to brown or black. Please use to except for discolored part of the product. It can also be used for HM1000.
