Application
Overview / Applications
| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. Small Conductance Ca2+-activated K+ Channel Blocker. In order to reverse the increase in intracellular cation caused by depolarization, the cell temporarily releases K+ to return to its near-normal resting potential. This is modulated by K+ channel. Among the various types of K+ channel, Ca2+ activated channels inhibited by peptidic blockers is important. These channels can be further classified into 3 subtypes; high conductance (BK) type, intermediate conductance (IK) type, small conductance (SK) type. Many peptidic blockers are also known to block voltage dependent channels. There are also blockers that block inward-rectifier K+ channels. |
