DNA Extraction / Purification Reagents (Plant)

Plant tissues contain more polysaccharides and polyphenols than are contained in animal tissues. As these substances inhibit restriction enzyme reactions and PCR, they must be removed during nucleic acid extraction. CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide), a cationic surfactant, is commonly used for extraction of nucleic acids from plant tissues, but it has drawbacks in that the processing procedure has many steps and is complicated. Fujifilm Wako offers a line-up of nucleic acid extraction and purification reagents for plants that are optimized for plant tissues and can easily extract and purify high-quality nucleic acids.
