DNA Specific Fluorescent Probes

Features

DAPI binds to double-stranded DNA and emits blue fluorescence. It is known that fluorescence persistence is high and cell permeability is low compared to bisbenzimide (Hoechst).

Product Number Product Name Ex/Em(nm)
045-30361 4',6-Diamidino-2-phenylindole Dihydrochloride n-Hydrate【DAPI】 358/461

Bisbenzimide H33258 Trihydrochloride (also known as Hoechst 33258) binds to the AT site of double-stranded DNA and emits blue fluorescence. And it shows membrane permeability.

Product Number Product Name Ex/Em(nm)
083-09971 Bisbenzimide H33258 Trihydrochloride 352/461

Bisbenzimide H33342 Trihydrochloride (also known as Hoechst 33342) binds to the AT site of double-stranded DNA and emits blue fluorescence. It has better membrane permeability than bisbenzimide H33258 trihydrochloride.

Product Number Product Name Ex/Em(nm)
080-09981 Bisbenzimide H33342 Trihydrochloride 350/461

Propidium Iodide binds to the DNA of dead cells and fluoresces red.
