Anode Materials for LIB

00218-img01.jpg

Carbon materials are used for LIB as the main material of the anode (negative electrode). Silicon-based materials are being vigorously studied as next generation materials to replace carbon materials. Practical application of silicon material is studied because it has the potential to show more than approximately ten times the capacity of graphite. On the other hand, silicon material has drawbacks in terms of volume size change and it cannot withstand use, so improvement of its life cycle is also being studied using our product (see CLPA). Titanium compounds are also being studied currently. In these advanced research fields, it is essential to provide high quality materials.
