For separation/purification of DNA/RNA, reverse phase column chromatography or anion exchange column chromatography is generally used. Triethylammonium acetate (TEAA), which is easy to remove by lyophilization, is used for the mobile phase. DMTr (dimethoxytrityl) group can also be removed by an aqueous solution of trifluoroacetic acid during column operation.
