Organic Semiconductors (OSC)

Recent developments in organic, synthetic, and polymer chemistries have dramatically increased the types of organic compounds that can be used as functional materials. Advancements in synthetic techniques have resulted in easier production of highly complex organic compounds, and we have studied the physical properties of these functional compounds. In particular, organic semiconductor (OSC) materials, have become highly attractive to academia and industry in recent decades. OSC materials can be chemically modified to exhibit specific physical properties. Interesting for wearable applications, these materials are both lightweight and flexible. Best of all, these materials are economical for commercial production. FUJIFILM Wako are proposing OSC materials for development of organic thin-film solar cells.
