| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. This is a general-purpose serum substitute used for the culture of nerve cells. It is suited to primary cultures of nerve cells and nerve stem cells. As differentiation of nerve stem cells is induced by the components contained in FBS, a serum substitute such as this product is used to culture nerve stem cells in undifferentiated condition. Transferrin (apo) is used in this product. It has been confirmed that some cell types proliferate favorably in N2 supplement using transferrin (apo) than that using transferrin (holo). |
