This is a product for General Tests listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia 15th Edition.
Purity: Dissolve 0.1 mL of this product in the mobile phase in the Assay of "Thiamine Chloride Hydrochloride" to make 50 mL.
Perform the test with 10 µL of this solution as directed under Liquid Chromatography according to the operating conditions in Assay of "Thiamine Chloride Hydrochloride". Determine the area of each peak by the automatic integration method in the time span of about twice the retention time of the main peak and calculate the amount of methyl benzoate by the area percentage method: not less than 99.0%.
