Columns for Flash Chromatography

Since the appearance of flash chromatography systems (medium-pressure automatic fractionation and purification equipment), the fractionation and purification technology for chemically synthesized materials and natural substances has undergone dramatic changes. Flash chromatography systems utilizing packed columns have greatly reduced the work required for column preparation, contributing to the acceleration of development in pharmaceuticals (drug discovery), pesticides, and chemicals.

The Presep® series (preparative) consists of packed columns for flash chromatography filled with a high-quality chromatography packing material in a polypropylene syringe-type column (luer-lock type). Six sizes with different packing volumes (S/M/L/2L/3L/4L) are available.

The packing materials come in two types: spherical silica gel and crushed silica gel, each available as either unmodified silica gel or aminopropyl-modified NH2 type.

Fujifilm Wako offers easily attachable/detachable special column adapters for attachment to equipment, making them compatible with systems from various manufacturers.

We also offer a wide range of related products, including loading columns for sample injection, preparative columns for optical isomers, as well as thin-layer chromatography (TLC) plates, various chromatography supports, and preparative solvents for examining preparative conditions.

Selection Guide of Columns for Flash Chromatography Presep®

Three types of silica gel columns and two types of NH2 silica gel columns are available as Presep® preparative columns for flash chromatography.
Please select a column according to your purpose and application by referring to the diagram shown below. If sufficient separation cannot be achieved with silica gel in the case of basic compounds, for example, try NH2 silica gel.
