HPLC Column for Environment Analysis

Wakopak® Wakosil® DNPH, Wakopak® Wakosil® DNPH-Ⅱ

These are columns for the HPLC analysis of aldehydes and ketones in the atmosphere. These special columns are optimized for the simultaneous analysis of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone (DNPH)-derivatized aldehydes and ketones. Aldehydes are subject to regulation and measurement as hazardous air pollutants under the Air Pollution Control Act, Offensive Odor Control Law, etc.​

​Wakopak® Wakosil® DNPH can separate n- and iso-butyraldehydes, which are difficult to separate with general HPLC columns. It can analyze the same components as those analyzed by GC.

Wakopak® Wakosil® DNPH-II can separate 15 components regulated by the US EPA within 20 minutes.​

One Presep®-C DNPH cartridge eluted with acetonitrile and diluted to 5 mL.

2. Example of analysis of indoor air sample

30 L of air in the laboratory sampled at a flow rate of 0.5 L/min using Presep®-C DNPH and eluted in the same manner as described above.​
