For next-generation energy research

Perovskite Solar Cell (PSC) Materials

Solar power is a clean and sustainable energy source. Current manufacturing methods for silicon-based solar cells require complicated operations (e.g. high temperature, vacuum condition, etc). Future process improvement for solar cell manufacturing is indispensable. For the past decade, perovskite-type solar cells have attracted increasing attention. Perovskite-type solar cells were initially reported by Professor Miyakasa at Toin University of Yokohama. Energy conversion rates have increased from an initial ~5% to over 20%. Many groups are working towards further enhancing this conversion rate to make perovskite-type solar cells commercially viable. .
