Overview / Applications

Outline This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. In humans, IDH1, IDH2, and IDH3 subtypes are known for isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH). Of these, IDH1 and IDH2 point mutations are often seen in glioma of WHO grade II and III or glioblastoma of Grade IV (from a lower grade glioma; secondary glioblastoma).
This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human.

Isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDHs) play an important role of the enzymes in the TCA cycle. IDH1 and IDH2 are NADP+-dependent forms.
They are located in cytoplasm (IDH1) and in mitochondria (IDH2), respectively. Recent studies have reported that IDH mutations were specifically found in several types of glioma. Among them, the most frequent mutation is arginine 132 residue (R132) in IDH1 and R172 in IDH2. There are several IDH1 mutations including R132H, R132S, R132G, R132C and R132L.
This Anti IDH1, Monoclonal Antibody is available to detect wild type and mutated IDH1.
