Wakopak® Wakosil® 5CN, Wakopak® Wakosil®-Ⅱ 5CN
The cyanopropyl group is chemically bonded to silica gel and can be used in both normal-phase and reversed-phase modes in partition chromatography by changing the mobile phase.
- Reversed-phase distribution mode: when a highly polar mobile phase is used
- Normal-phase distribution mode: when a less polar mobile phase is used
For Wakopak® Wakosil® 5CN, a cyanopropyl group is chemically bonded to a silica gel with a particle size of 5 μm and a pore size of 12 nm.
Since the hydrophobic interaction is weak in the reversed-phase, it is optimal for the analysis of mixed samples with large polar differences and can reduce the analysis time.
Wakosil®-II 5CN is a packing agent in which a cyanopropyl group is chemically bonded to high-purity silica gel and is optimal for the analysis of compounds affected by metal impurities.
