| Outline | SCALEVIEW-A2 is a reagent used in the ScaleA2 method for tissue clearing. It is also employed in combination with the SCALEVIEW-S series for conducting antibody staining (AbScale , AbScale-G) and fluorescent dye staining (ChemScale) on cleared tissues. These advanced clearing techniques were developed by Dr. Atsushi Miyawaki and his team at the RIKEN institute. Simply immersing fixed tissues in SCALEVIEW-A2 enables the clearing of mouse or rat brains. Studies have reported that this product allows 2 mm tissue slices to be cleared within two weeks. Additionally, SCALEVIEW-A2 can be used as an immersion solution for lenses, facilitating effective microscopic observation. The refractive index of this reagent is approximately 1.38, making it particularly effective in instances where lenses compatible with high-refractive-index mounting media are unavailable. To perform the AbScale or ChemScale, this product must be used in conjunction with SCALEVIEW-S0 (Product Number: 196-18521), deScale Solution (Product Number: 041-34425), and SCALEVIEW-S4 (Product Number: 194-18561).
