| Outline | This is a reference standard for analysis of mycotoxins. Mycotoxins refer to toxic substances that are produced by mold as secondary metabolites and damage the health of humans and livestock. Several hundreds of mycotoxins are generally recognized, and this product is one of trichothecene mycotoxins. Ingestion of crops molded with a Fusarium species has been known to cause gastrointestinal effects, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and bleeding, suppression of the immune function, and other effects. |
