Vitamins
Vitamin A is often found as β-carotene (a type of carotenoid) in foods. β-Carotene suppresses the generation of and eliminates reactive oxygen.
Vitamin E suppresses the production of lipid peroxide in cells and is an antioxidant.
Vitamin C also suppresses the production of lipid peroxides.
Some vitamin-like active substances*1, including coenzyme Q10, which are strictly distinguished from vitamins, have antioxidant activity*2. FUJIFILM Wako offers a group of relevant reagents that can be used in vitamin research and testing.
