Outline	Special solvent for determination of vinyl chloride monomer by gas chromatography. Impurities with Rt close to that of vinyl chloride monomer have been removed as much as possible. In general, ethers such as tetrahydrofuran are readily oxidized and produce peroxides. Stabilizers to prevent such oxidization (antioxidants) are added, which results in an increase in foreign peaks on the gas chromatogram and makes the product not suited for the purpose.The product is a high purity solvent which contains no stabilizer, instead of which inert gas is enclosed. Low background noise in the GC of the product is guaranteed.
