| Outline | RGD is a minimum unit of a cell adhesion active site, which is common in cell-adhesive glycoproteins such as fibronectin. Recent studies showed that peptides including RGD enter into the cells, then cause self-processing and activation of caspase-3 precursor, and induce apoptosis. Among RGD-containing peptides, GRGDNP exhibits the strongest apoptosis-inducing activity. |
