Outline | The product is a polymerization accelerator to be used for photo polymerization of acrylamide. It is used with TEMED. Through exposure to the light, riboflavin is reduced to leukoflavin, and the leukoflavin autoxidizes with oxygen and then generates free radicals which trigger polymerization of acrylamide.Acrylamide gel synthesized by photopolymerization produces a creamy white color, but its electrophoresis is not inhibited. |
