Overview / Applications
| Outline | PDGF was discovered as a growth factor for mesenchymal cells contained in the alpha granules of platelets. It is now known that it is produced by various cells other than platelets, and that its biological effects are diverse. PDGF-BB, a dimer of PDGF, promotes the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle, fibroblasts, capillary endothelial cells, etc. in vitro, and also has a leukocyte migration effect. It has become clear that it is related to arteriosclerosis, angiogenesis in solid tumors, and metastasis, and its clinical application is also being researched. This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. This is a cytokine that does not use animal-derived ingredients during the culture and purification processes. |
