A dithiocarbamate pesticide is widely and substantially used as an insect-germicide for vegetables and fruit trees. For pesticide residues in food the standard is set that require to calculate a sum of carbon disulfide equivalent of dithiocarbamate pesticides including zineb, ziram, thiram (thiuram), nickel bis (dithiocarbamate), ferbam, propineb, polycarbamate, manzeb (mancozeb), maneb, and metiram. This is an agricultural chemical reference standard for testing residual agricultural chemicals for establishment of the provisional standards No. 254 in the Positive List System for Agricultural Chemical Residues in Foods. This product is one of dithiocarbamate agricultural chemicals.
