| Outline | This product is for research use only. Do not administer it to human. This product is an asymmetric reduction catalyst with an oxazaborolidine skeleton. When this product is used in catalyst quantity with boranes to react with unsymmetrical ketone, the resulting enantioselective reduction produces the desired alcohol. This reaction is knows as CBS reduction (Corey-Bakshi-Shibata reduction), and yields high levels of enantiometic excess. |
