| Outline | Since 1989, the Industrial Safety and Health Law has required companies to perform a special health checkup twice a year to control the health of workers handling organic solvents. Xylene, styrene, and toluene, absorbed in the body, are metabolized and excreted in urine as methyl hippuric acid, mandelic acid, and hippuric acid, respectively. The urinary concentration of these metabolites is determined by HPLC to serve as an indicator for control. This product is used as a reference standard for HPLC. |
