Outline	Interleukin-1beta (IL-1beta) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine produced by various cells such as monocytes, macrophages, keratinocytes, and other epithelial cells. Both IL-1alpha and IL-1beta bind to the same receptor and exhibit similar biological properties. The main differences between IL-1alpha and IL-1beta lie in the extent of glycosylation and the fact that IL-1alpha retains sufficient activity in its precursor form, whereas IL-1beta lacks activity in its precursor form. Additionally, IL-1alpha is a cell-bound cytokine, while IL-1beta is a secreted cytokine. IL-1beta activates the MYD88 signaling pathway via the IL-1 receptor type 1. This pathway includes the Toll/IL-1 receptor domain adaptor in the cytoplasm. Carrier protein-free. Sterilized by filtration with a 0.2 um filter, then freeze-dried.
